Dragon’s Blood Incense Resin

Dragon’s Blood is a bright red resin obtained from the fruit of the Daemonorops Draco palm tree native to Southeast Asia, primarily Indonesia.

There are several types of “Dragon’s Blood”. Daemonorops Draco is considered one of the best for incense due to its warm, sweet, honey-like aroma. It is different from South American Sangre de Grado (Croton lechleri), which is more medicinal, and the rare Socotra Dragon Tree resin (Dracaena cinnabari), which is mainly used for dyes and varnish.

How to Use Dragon’s Blood

As Incense: Place a small chunk on a hot charcoal disc or in an incense burner. It will release thick, fragrant smoke with earthy-sweet notes of wood, honey, amber, vanilla, pine, and spice—warm, exotic, and grounding. Use in well-ventilated areas and do not leave unattended.
For topical use: Make a tincture by dissolving in food grade ethanol (grain alcohol), dilute with carrier oil, and apply topically.
