Mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris) is an aromatic perennial herb in the daisy family, native to Europe and Asia. It grows 1-2 m tall with dark green pinnate leaves that have silvery undersides and a sage-like scent. Human use of mugwort predates written history. Dubbed the “mother of herbs” in the Middle Ages because of its perceived medicinal benefits. In ancient folklore it was said to aid spiritual transitions and psychic insights.

Uses
Mugwort Tea
As a tea, mugwort tea blend has a distinctive “tea” flavor (it tastes like tea leaves). This is full leaf, which makes an excellent, clean tea.
This leaf is hand harvested on a family farm and dried to reduce bitterness.
For the best results, start out with 1 gram of mugwort per 12 oz of water. Steep in the water for 10 minutes, allow it to cool, stain and serve. If you would like a stronger or weaker tea, you can increase or decrease the amount of mugwort tea leaf used and the amount of time it is steeped in small increments.
Smoking Mugwort
Mugwort is a traditional smoking herb that smokes well in pipes and vapes but, even in its whole leaf form, is not great for rolling. Sailors would take it with them to smoke when the set off on a long voyage.
This USDA certified organic has a very mild flavor.
