Leaf
USDA-certified organic aged yerba mate leaf from Brazil. Aged for 2+ years, to develop a milder, less bitter taste. Clean, high-quality tea cut leaf with no stems.
Hand Processed Leaf
The same aged organic Brazilian mate leaf, meticulously hand-processed to remove herb dust. Truly gourmet quality—perfect when only the best of the best will do.
Flavored Mate
Both the Leaf and Hand Processed Leaf are available flavored with natural cloves, organic French lavender, or wildcrafted mint leaves.
Mate Powder
Aged organic mate leaf powder. Can be used for brewing tea—highly effective when used for curing mate gourds.
To cure your gourd: Fill it with yerba mate and hot water. Let it sit for a day, then empty and scrub the inside. Repeat the process at least once.

How to make Yerba Mate:
Steep as Tea: (Loose Leaf or Infuser): Add 1 tbsp yerba per 8 oz hot (170°F) water. Steep 3-7 min; strain if loose, or remove infuser.
Traditional Method: Fill gourd ½-¾ with yerba mate. Insert bombilla. Moisten with cool water. Add hot (170°F) water gradually. Sip and refill.
French Press: Add 1-2 tbsp of yerba per 8 fl oz of hot (170°F) water. Steep for 4-5 min., press, and pour.
Cold Brew: 2 tbsp per 8 fl oz cold water. Refrigerate 8-12 hrs, strain.
Contains caffeine. Do not use it before going to sleep.
Smokable?
Tea cut leaf is high-quality and a good size for smoking. It is hard and of above-average thickness, so care should be taken when rolling. It smokes well in any type of pipe.
